Continuing Education
Continuing education (CE) is a requirement in order to maintain a real estate license. Many CE opportunities are provided for association members that are free of charge, and specialty courses and seminars are competitively priced.
The State of Florida determines licensing requirements and continuing education requirements. To contact the real estate licensure department, visit http://www.myfloridalicense.com
Ongoing education that provides ce credit at the Realtors® Association of St. Lucie (RASL) includes:
- Code of Ethics (every other month)
- Contract Seminar (three times a year)
- 14-hr CE with Core law (twice a year, February & August)
Many more CE credit classes are offered throughout the year including designation classes. See education calendar.
Please note that RASL has the ability to track students’ CE for those classes/seminars offered at the RASL location. However, it is the responsibility of licensees to keep personal records of their education when courses are not attended at RASL.
A word about CE credit REALTOR® associations do not determine what courses are approved for CE. In order for a course to be approved for CE, the course provider, or school, must submit an application and a fee to the state real estate commission for course review. Upon course approval, the course provider will be able to offer the CE credit to licensees and then must submit student attendance and grade information (when applicable) to the state for documentation. Licensees may view their credit status at www.myfloridalicense.com.
